First question I have is Why Tesco change from Visa to Discover Card? Many thanks for any answer or 2. Second question of mine... I've read time and again about the strange things CRA's do so heres something that Im sure has happened before but is a first for me. In the first response to my disputes, TU sends a letter to my current address stating "the documents you supplied for proof of your current mailing address were unacceptable". Call me stupid but they just mailed a letter to me using the same address that they are now stating that I need to prove is correct. Doesn't the existence of the letter they sent provide enough proof????????. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can answer it..

I hate to be the only one that seems dissagreeable on this point (cause I in no way am feeling the love for the CRA's) but....
I do see their point.. Just cause you got their letter and sent it back doesn't prove to them that you are you and not some scam artist, though I am sure a scam artist would be smarter and have better things to do than waste their time trying to get the CRA's to change your addy for them.... But it's kinda like this scenario..... The other day I called my bank to preform a $8,000 wire transfer to another account of mine (with a different bank) so that I could pay off a settlement with that and some other funds already in the other account (plus a $2,000 secured loan - hoping that was a good idea.). Anyway, while requesting the wire transfer I provided all of the normal information when the bank teller asked me for my phone number incase their are any issues.. I just changed it and struggle remembering my number as it is; so I told her I can never remember it and asked if I can give her my gf number instead.. She says sure no problem and then calls my gf number back 5 mins later; the convo. went something like this.. "Hello, is this (my name here)?". "yea". "Yes sir I just needed to call to verify that this was you; it's proceedure to verify by phone for any wire transfers this size.". "Ok" (click) "baby, I need to change banks". Sure they verrified my gf phone number by calling back and talking to the same person who initiated the rquest, but what happens if that person wasn't me????. This post has been edited by. Actually, I just got the same goddamn letter. And I sent my DL and my electric bill. They sent me that exact same letter... you have been denied due to reason number 3 "documents are unacceptable." I turned around and sent three more utility bills and threatened to sue. God, I hate the CRAs...

FEEL FREE TO PROVE I AM NOT ME.
FEEL FREE TO PROVE THE ADDRESS IS WRONG.. |

Yea, originally I sent DL and SS card copies. The only address remaining on the report is my current. All others were removed from 1st dispute of old addys..
A side note... It feels good to be a newbie that did their homework as required... |

Same thing here, only with EX. What do they want, a blood sample?..
