I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could help you..

I'd like to bump this topic. I'm also looking for a gas card. Anyone know who is the most lenient? My score is mid 600's...

I received an Exxon-Mobil card (only $400 though) without too much difficulty. I had scores from 580-620 ish......

Yes, I can help you here!.
My current scores are. Creditkarma.com - 611. Identityguard.com. Equifax 651 Weak Details. Experian 670 Fair Details. TransUnion 644. These are fake-o's so they are in the range, I took a little hit of about 30 points from all my new accounts and inquires, but I keep getting about 15 points a month increase due to all my new charges, and paying (with Discover card) in full every month, on about 5-8 different cards. about $1500 a month in different amounts... Marathon - $150. Http://www.mapllc.com/credit_card/. You get $15 worth of gas for free upon approved application. *trying to figure out when I get this or how, might show up on my bill*. I got a $150 limit, not bad considering, I got denied before, and I did BK7 on them only 7 years ago and it still shows on my credit report, limit was $300 when I first had it, I'm not screwing it up again, not sure if they do limit increases, I will update as I go, I charged like $50 on it in gas, PIF, I think it's 25 day grace period.. Only downside to this card is they don't have a website to manage your account, payments, etc, you have to go to check4free*they don't charge any fee to pay, you also get your statements at this site* or something like that, give them your bank # I've paid twice with it, no problems yet they seem like a massive company but I don't like giving my info out, and I don't like mailing checks/money orders because of the delays I don't want no late payments thats why I like online.. and if you use there phone system they charge like $10, and they do WU I think too but once again charges, Ack.... Sunoco *citi* $800. Http://www.sunocoinc.com/Site/Consumer/App...aCreditCard.htm. I got a $800 limit, this was my first CITI card, citi bank never liked me before nor would approve me for any of there cards, my score improved a little, and I've got about 3 citi cards now, this is a rewards card, not sure what exactly, but the limit was very nice, and I think they do auto limit increases, so I will update in 4-6 months if they do, grace period is like 24 days which is good if you PIF which I am doing, why not charge all your gas, get points, and not pay a dime in interest?, I applied for the basic store one, not the mastercard, but I think if you apply for that one and you don't get approved you can get the other if your score is right, I've charged about $200 on it, and paid it off, I like it so far so good, I pay through my bank, chase.com and payments can be made in one day, and are posted in two to three days, they DO NOT CHARGE OVER LIMIT FEES, yes that's right, if you go over your limit because every time you use the card they do a temporary authorization for $25 on it and it could cause you to go over your limit, so you can charge more than your limit is in one month not sure how much as I haven't used that much gas in one month.. |

Valero still underwrites their own card as does Marathon..
There IS a Marathon rewards card underwritten by someone else, but the basic card is serviced in-house.. Chevron USED to be handed in-house, but is now farmed out to GEMB.. Exxon, Shell, Phillips and a few others are Citi cards and very likely will be on the low end of the Citi underwriting scale... |
