Does anyone know who has the lowest rates for car insurance for some one who had gotten cacelled for non payment., triple aaa insurance sucks they had made a mistake ( one out of many) with my billing. I did not know ther was a balance nor a cancellation. I am now with progressive but they are now asking for prior inusrance not to raise my rates. help any advice appreciated. fair credit rating..

Where do you live?.

I am in Los Angeles area, and I do have Cr from all 3 CRA; I dont see hard or soft Inq with their name in any of the reports!.

Maybe it depends where you live? Thanks for the info. I watch more closely on the report from now on....

This may or may not be off topic. I read in MONEY magazine recently that while most auto insurance companies pull hard or soft inquiries on a least one credit report, State Farm Insurance co. doesn'tDoes anyone know if this is true?..

I have Farmer's, and I am not getting their "best rates" because of information contained on my credit report. OTOH, my grandma (Gotta love her!), is one of the WORST drivers, drives w/o kids in car seats, etc. But because her credit rating is good, and she's only been caught for 1 ticket a few years ago, she gets good rates. I on the other hand, don't speed, keep everyone buckled in, and hey... I'm a risk because I had to pay a bunch of medical bills a few years ago when I was uninsured (making me not able to pay some other bills on time). Just another way for them to get money out of you...

I got denied by State farm Insurance once because of my credit and my uncle was the rep. I would say this is not accurate information..

Auto insurers can do as they dang well please and charge you anything they feel like due to fico and mandatory insurance..

Higher rates brought to you curtesy of the combined efforts of fico and forced insurance..

We had a similar problem with a lapse when we moved back from FL to TX. Farmers has another policy that allows for a 60 day lapse. I missed the 30 days because of Allstate has well. (OK - I didn't pay much attention to the details), anyway they were able to write us. They did pull a hard on TU...
