I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could help you..

LKH, read her "we didn't get our mortgage" thread. she says these are bogus accounts and they caused her to get turned down for a mortgage. I told her she had a legal case, so did many others..
I guess she doesn't like us - we gave good advice, and here she is asking about a dispute. Wierd. Whatever... |

Breeze,.
I have taken your suggestions as well as the others. In fact, already one step ahead. Thank you for your input.. It has nothing to do with liking you or not. I agree I have a legal case, I am also shopping other options to just get them deleted off my CR.. Your advice is valuable, you are actually one of the posters I admire a lot. But I just as anxious to get them deleted as I am getting the CA's on violations. I believe I am still within my rights to get the info off and still take them to court. These CA's have caused me to get a mortgage turned down, regardless.. Not weird, at all.. Della.. |

OK. I hadn't read the other thread. They are right. Don't dispute and don't send them a nutcase. Go to your lawyer. Have him call them and tell them to get if off your report 5 minutes ago or they will be paying off your new house.
Don't take this crap. GO TO YOUR LAWYER AT 8:00 A.M. TOMORROW!!!!!!!.. |
|
Loud and clear! Already there. Too bad it's Sunday..
I do so much like the idea of being in the right with CA scum being dead wrong!. Thanks.. Della.. |
|
Della, we're not just talking violations and waiting for a lawsuit to get to court. You have a big case - a.
BIG. Case. These phony accounts are costing you big time. The lawyer can make that CA take them off yesterday!!! And you can still sue them for your trouble after you get your new house... |

Not to brush aside the comments of breeze and LKH both of whose comments are very valid and which I wholeheartedly agree with, but you did mention above that you were fearful of the possibility they might reage the debt..
Put your fears aside on that issue and do whatever it is that you fear or even dream might get them to do just exactly that. If they do then you are really talking the big time damage awards which could possibly run it into a million or more in damages.. Think about that one... |
|
That is the way I understand it too. And therefore if they reaged a debt which was not hers in the first place would than not make their original wrongful act even more grevious?.
That is the way I see it... |

You know something? I just saw these on my husband's credit report today. Out of the blue. Two of them - 120 days old (Marlin and Inovision). I'm trying to figure this out - it's a scam? They were from '98. Just trying to figure this out.......
