Quick question: When using paypal can I use my Discover Card debit giftcard that I got from someone? Thanks for any comment. Another question I got... Your FICO score evaluates your total revolving credit. |

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could give you help..

No, the highest balance is $245 on a $30000 card, 3 other cards have balances, all below $50 on limits of $10K and above...

I haven't fed the monster in a while, but this is why I focus on clean reports and ignore their chaotic illogic equations...

I remember reading somewhere that FICO is programmed to always kick out at least 4 reasons. If there are not at least four, it basically makes something up...

Is one of the cards a little used npsl card?.
I've got a new npsl card and when any balance on it reports, I get the same reason you do... |

I am getting ready file taxes so that I have 2 years of self employment income and then refinance. That;s why I was curious to know my scores...

Sorry, No Preset Spending Limit. A Sig or World card. I have a new one that was not yet been run up to report a very high "highest balance" amount. I think that is causing the message, and impacting the score...

Yes, 3 out of 4 of the cards reporting the balances are NPSL cards, including the darn British Airways card. Thanks for the info...

That is your answer. I had the same problem and I had a thread on this same subject about the reasons because I had 2% util and they said it was too high, LOL. Come to find out it was my new Nordstrom Signature card that lowered my score...
|
|
None of them lower my scores for me. LB, are they actually lowering your score or is it just a matter of this insignificant message?..
|
|
Gotta keep it in perspective. Unless your score is 850, there will always be some reason given...

When my Schwab card reports, it costs between 19 and 22 points, and displays the message, but only on TU. EQ doesn't show the message and doesn't seem to care...
|

Trevor - I rarely check TU since I have Scorewatch which keeps me abreast of my FICO itch..
But it's so weird. My score is 18 points lower on TU than on EQ. Just like Kevin.. This post has been edited by. LBCS. : 09 January 2010 - 01:17 AM.. |

I have the same thing and it has to do with the Nordstrom Signature card. Nordstrom switched me back but it has not shown up on TU yet. I went up in my FAKO score by 32 points on EX and 10 points on EQ when the switch back to Nordstrom Platinum went through. Unfortunately, TU has not made the change yet and has stayed the same...

This is interesting. My new Priceline is a siggy card and I noticed on CCT both EQ and EX are reporting the entire limit. On TU it is showing 0 limit (I haven't charged anything on it yet). So does this mean letting anything report on it will make that much of a difference on TU, but not the others?.
Disclaimer: I know, take monitoring service data with a grain of salt, but it's the only data I have right now... |
|
My Schwab card reports on TU as:.
"Revolving Account" under account type, nothing under description.. Under EQ:. "Revolving Account" under account type and "Flexible spending credit card" as the descrption. So maybe TU thinks is isn't a NPSL card and looks only at high balance as the CL?.. |
|
And the monitoring service data can vary so much between each of them.....

My Chase card is a visa sig so no psl but it doesnt report (I think it has to do with me being in the army what what they do for active duty military)..
The card is 18 months old so I am wondering if I should ask chase to report it. They will if you ask them too... |
