My question is What is the difference between HUD and a regular Lending Tree mortgage loan? Which is better? Hoping for any comment. Another question I got... Well, my persistence has paid off. I just got one of my hards bumped today, just as I was beginning to think bumpage doesn't work anymore. I gained a whopping 19 FICO points from that. Now I'm determined to lose the other 6 hards I have!.. |

Mine too was working as of last week. Worked twice last week, losing four in total.. TNobles, I too have not disputed anything with EQ for awhile, except one item in late July.. Also, there was about 45 days when I did not access my credit reports, between AUG and Sept... |

Can someone please let me know how bumpage works? Are you disputing a hard inquiry? I am totally lost. My eqfx score was a 683 until I applyed for 2 cards. It has dropped to a 675:( I cant believe to inquiries dropped it 8 pts...

I must disagree with your premise. I also have no disputes going, nor have I had any in months. My file got too big and I couldn't get new reports. They whacked a ton of softs to enable me to get reports. Since then, they have cut softs 4 more times. Each time I get the inq's back up to about 130 and bumpage restarts, they immediately delete 50 - 60 softs.
So, it appears they are keeping an eye on my inq's... |

Do a search here for "equifax bumpage" or "LKH's trick". That should explain everything to you...

After reading 100 Million bumpage threads one thing comes to mind. Right about when you become thoroughly convinced bumpage will not work for you, you'll get it in the next cpl days.. LOL. That means HANG IN THERE... |

It has happened to others on the board as well. The problem is, at some point, every one pulling their report daily is going to acquire enough inq's that they won't be able to pull their reports until they get some softs deleted. Once that is done, your bumpage is history...

I thought of you as I was typing that theory. But I did not know if you currently had anything going. BUT if they have had a problem w/yours in the past that you have contacted them about they may be watching you're report for this problem. You think?..

Thanx Butch. It is the only thing that has made sense to me. I get bumpage every few days where as dh gets his softs chopped every week or two. And it has always been after some kind of update on his report...

That could be the reason. It really ticks me off though. Every time I get the first soft bumped, I can look forward to having a bunch deleted the next day...

I think you're right. I had a whole pile of soft inquiries and never was the list shortened while others on the board reported this. Finally something appeared on my report that I disputed during chod and halfway through-haackk the softs were cut in half. There is no particular reason to the way the softs were cut off either which to me suggests human intervention... |

It sucks. I have 5 hards to bump still, but like you, even though I have not had to dispute anything in 3 or 4 months, something appeared on my report over the weekend. I am going to have to send in a UDF and I know my bumpage will be gone. It sucks!!!..

I too am thinking when they investigated a dispute on mine, they noticed and deleted a bunch of softs. Bumpage had just began with the deletion of two hards..
