Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can answer it..

I fully expect a "late payment fee", I'm just confused about any other tricks since Obahma's Discover credit card bill passed in may of 2009. specifically this:.
Any time, any reason; universal default; etc.: Card companies no longer will be able to raise rates on existing balances unless one of four exceptions applies: The consumer is 60 days or more past due, a promotional rate expired, the consumer failed or completed a workout plan, or the variable rate increased due to index movement. If a late payment triggered the rate jump, after six months of on-time payments the issuer must reinstate the lower rate. (from BankRate.com). This post has been edited by. If you have never been late with them before, call them. I was late 1 day recently (yesterday), called and the CSR said it would be credited back to me on my next statement. Sooooooooo, get on the phone. You have nothing to loose and 35$ to gain...

I would definitely call and ask them. I realize the $35 isnt the big issue here,.
But it's still $35 bucks... These days it seems people are getting RJed for all kinds of reasons, some sound. Decisions, some making absolutely no sense (cue. GEORGE. ..hehe).. The point is, in all the crossfire, I wouldnt expect a single, 1 day late to make. Any real difference. I expect if you were going to be hammered, you'd be hammered. Regardless. If you arent, a single 1-day shouldnt be enough to tip the scales.. If it is, consider the sockdrawer for them..... |

Just to let you all know, I just read my new statement and nothing has changed, interest rate is the same...
