My 1st question is: I have a question regarding using Discover Card? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: ... and I can be a little dense sometimes....

The site states "Free, unlimited access to your comprehensive Triple Bureau Credit Report and Credit Score from TransUnion ($29.95 value per report)** ".

Sure, unlimited... to the same report? or a new one each day?.

Just wanted to make sure before I sign up and find I have another MCK......

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could give you an answer..

Now that we buried our dearly departed MCK, I finally signed up for CCT and CS, both just barely into their trial periods. My only EQ inquiry is from June 2008, so EQ is only a concern for future inquiries. TU is the immediate priority..

So, is the addition of MPM, either only for the interim period or for the long term, putting my TU efforts in some danger of C and/or R? I recall reading BW's disquisition a month ago or so, and it seemed to suggest caution with respect to TU...

Yes, I recall reading BW awhile back about the MPM dangers of TU C* and R* (congrats on a new abbreviation)..

Still getting a page cannot be displayed. I also just tried it from one of my servers. Its not the firewall or I would have gotten an access denied. I'll try from home later...

But you do not necessarily remember writing it? Maybe you are able to read objectively, then. I am inclined to trust him on this, and stay away from MPM for now. Maybe the shredder offer will grow to family size in the meantime.....

PN:.

My policy is to use TU-based services, MPM & NCIDP to bump Equifax inquiries..

I DO NOT use them when I am trying to bump off TU inquiries..

I use CCT, CS, USAA-CCMP to bump TU inquiries..

We don't have a definitive answer on whether CCT and USAA-CCMP are redundant, and overwrite each other w/r TU bumpage..

I have great faith in Dr. Tang's research that CCT and USAA-CCMP duplicate each other with Equifax, so having both does not speed things up as far as Equifax inquiries are concerned..

I *DO* believe that we get credit for CCT and USAA-CCMP on TU now that I've looked at my 12/31 back door copy of my TU report. I have 65 soft inqs from this one company for December...which happens to be the EX credit monitoring service address. It seems TU lumps them all together, but gives us credit for each pull. Otherwise, I could not have generated 65 soft inqs in Dec unless I was getting individual soft inqs for my 3 daily EX pullers. The older ones in December have B*'d off due to number limitations. Here's what they look like below. Can you tell which is from any of the 3 services I pull from EX? Nope...

I just did the switch-a-roo (canceled MCK and enrolled in MPM).

A quick recap on how long to wait, who to call and what to expect when getting login info before the "2 weeks for materials".

Would be greeeaaat..

Bob, you and Tang are turning me into a daily pull addict. I'd almost rather do without coffee first thing in the AM then.

My pulls!..

Here's a snapshot of what EQ looks like. I generated two soft inqs for TWO daily EX pullers, up until 12/31, when I pulled my last MCK report, even though I was pulling 3 (MCK/CCT/USAA-CCMP). I only generated one soft inq for pulling CCT and USAA-CCMP up until 1/03/2010, when my CCT was canceled. I didn't even get a soft inq (hasn't appeared so far) from my Jan 01 pull of the new MCK. Go figure. This was after I was C*'d early in the morning of 12/18.

"QSPACE" is MCK; "CREDITEXPERT" is from CCT/USAA-CCMP soft inqs (but only one soft inq per day shows in spite of pulling both daily up until this point)...

Tang, That's good news for TU B*. Are you certain that EQ is combining CCT and USAA-CCMP pulls therefore not providing any benefit?.

I *DO* believe that we get credit for CCT and USAA-CCMP on TU now that I've looked at my 12/31 back door copy of my TU report...

To answer the OP, MPM is a daily puller, every 24 hours...It may cause C* as I have been C*'d on TU, lost all my November TU pulls when I was using 3 pullers...haven't checked EQ backdoor yet...

Craigg, I'm as certain as what my eyes tell me....I only show the two categories of EX daily monitoring pulls (MCK/CCT/USAA-CCMP) I posted above from a copy of EQ's back door. That's it...there's no 3rd category to separately show the CCT/USAA-CCMP soft inqs. Notice I received 1 soft inq per day, as well, on each of the two groups (up until 12/31 for MCK). They're not being counted separately on EQ. I can't see EQ "hiding" one of my puller's soft inqs and them "helping" me B* off inqs. Can you? Not likely..

More evidence: When I count these two groupings, the MPM TU-based soft inq pulls, a hard inq and a couple Fair Isaac myfico.com pulls, they totaled 85 inquiries before B*'age started knocking off the oldest inqs of the group. Now think about that: We have known for a couple years that the magic number of daily pulls was around 80-90 on EQ before B* seemed to initiate (assuming no C* present)...give or take 5 or 10. I nailed it down to 85 finally (thought it was 88 originally) late last year through researching and tracking the soft inqs on EQ daily. If I was getting credit for my 3rd EX puller in the "phantom zone" that some seem to think exists on EQ for soft inqs, then that would add an additional 30 soft inqs to that total....which equals 115 soft inqs. Doesn't correlate with what we've known from the past..

As always, I encourage anyone to repeat the same research I've done, and see for yourself. This is NOT rocket science!..

Let me add to this: I conducted a little experiment by pulling CCT first one day, and then checking the EQ back door, and then pulling USAA-CCMP afterward and again checking the EQ back door. I got credit for the first pull from CCT via a soft inq posted in the "CREDITEXPERT" category when I first checked, but no soft inq showed for the USAA-CCMP pull afterward..

The next day, I reversed the order of the pullers and checked after each one via the EQ back door. Again, the first in this case USAA-CCMP, generated a soft inq under the "CREDITEXPERT" category of soft inqs. The second pull this time...CCT....generated no soft inq when I checked..

See? We get credit for ONE of the above on EQ. Feel free to repeat this process for yourself and it will yield the same results..

For the record, EX registers each pull as a distinct soft inq under it's own category. You can see how TU treats them in a prior post above. All jumbled together....but seemingly treated as a separate soft inq for each EX-based daily puller...

CC, it took about 1 week for the MPM material to arrive this time, even though I didn't need them when I re-activated my old acct. They still sent them to me. You can wait a couple days after signing up, call them at the number on the website, and they will probably give you your MPM membership ID to log in and enroll in daily pulling. It's simple to set up once you have your membership ID. The daily puller is through truecredit, and requires setting up a separate login/password, but pulls all 3 daily (24hrs+1minute between pulls)....unlike the original truecredit site..

TU seems to C* the heck out of them, though, as noted by others. I only have 1 MPM pull showing on TU's back door on 12/31. Looks like it was my last pull as well. Seems they don't give us any credit for them, so no way they can help in B*ing off TU hard inqs. I did have most all of my EX-based soft inqs intact, though, for December, so doesn't look like they C*'d them...but I would not trust them on that. Avoid any TU-based puller or Credit Karma when trying to B* off TU hard inqs...

That is great news. I am looking forward to B* all EQ by the beginning of February. Today I have all 3 going CCT, CS, MPM and even USAA CCMP to help with TU..

Even with C*, they will all be B* by the end of February...

You will definitely succeed with that lineup! Just be aware that EQ may C* again this month and next. I expect them to C* me around the 22nd or 23rd (normal EQ C* schedule for me). It may delay your success, but won't thwart it. You'll get enough soft inqs in a 30 day window to B* on EQ. Any TU inqs will disappear faster, I'm sure...
