Question I have... Discover, visa, or Discover Card, or american express? Many thanks for any response. Another quick question... Not for myself, but when DB went to his CU for help with his repo the bank manager told him another client had the same problem and she said he went online and got a loan with his 500 credit score, got one and saved his car..

Have you used any that are not a paycheck now type of deal? Thanks for the help, in advance...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can answer it..

That's what I was thinking. Alot of banks (not sure about Cu's) are getting into the act of doing check advances now, that are actually cheaper then a payday loan. I still wouldn't do one, but at least you would know they were ligit rather than some faceless unknown on-line lender that could very well be illegal in their state...

Many CUs now offer a version of the payday loan. My local CU charges 18% APR. did your friend look into other CUs?..
