Got a question... Capital one Secured Discover Card cancel? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Second question.. So it seems in 2006 the FTC (as well as several other government agencies) brought a inquiry of their own as to he procedures HSBC, as a credit furnisher was ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of information they report to the credit bureaus.. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could give you help..

But the thing is.. they still report inaccurate. Such as re-aging the account. So the FTC investigation did absolutely nothing...

Yep, I have an inaccurate T/L c/o from hsbc and no matter the amt of disputes it has never been corrected...blah..

In 2008, I had a HSBC auto listed as a key derog that came on my report (out of the blue) that wasn't mine. It was a different last name and address. When I started to dispute, I learned that they shut down their US operations (San Diego) and was not responding at all..
I disputed with the bureaus and only EQ came off. The others came back verified. I questioned the validity of that when their operations were closed, and did not waste time in getting the BBB, FTC, and AG involved. With the BBB assistance, I was able to get a complete removal.. When I received these documents later (I was going to file suit, and requested information from the FTC) I was. Because it showed how HSBC had total disregard for following credit reporting procedures in accordance to the law. It also show their collusion with the CRAs to block a person from correcting or updating their account information with them.. BTW: This committee inquisition in HSBC had no teeth like my pal's 14 year old dog ..... |

Eq removed my HSBC account as well..
TU remains untouched except a higher balance owed.. they didn't re-age it on TU. EX a wholeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee nother story. Not only did they re-age my account, they also removed any sign of Dofd, when it did in Oct, or any notation on how long the debt is suppose to stay on the credit report. (course this could be all of EX's doing.. so we'll see) I plan on using this as leverage when I sue their butts off depending on the answer I get from the CEO to my letter demanding removal.. Be sure to make the right BBB complaint for HSBC:.
Http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-review...lmhurst-il-4757. DO NOT use your city/ state BBB. They will only end up forwarding to the company's regional BBB (delays)..... |

I already filed my BBB complaint... they never answered (printed it for my lawyers records) however I did get another cookie cutter form letter saying the account was sold, yadda yadda yadda. They are just digging themselves into a deeper hole as far as i'm concerned. When I filed the complaint. I was specific in what their violations where. So we'll see what the Ceo actually says...
