First question I have is Can you take a co-borrowers name off a Lending Tree mortgage? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My other question... Yep, you read the title correctly. I was robbed the night before Christmas!. |

Ye, but... you might wanna make sure and wait for another person here to confirm it as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you contact the Lending Tree guys because they can answer you better...

I have cancelled my checking account, however, I'm leary about notifying the CRAs. It's already hell trying to get this crap removed my reports, I don't know how much more this will complicate the situation. THen again, it's probably better than seeing more negs popup because of some idiot..
About the return receipts, they even have the receipt I bought the stuff with. So, I have no tracking numbers either :(... |
Ok, just trying to help you think clearly, are the letters that correspond to the CRRR's on your computer? Did you note the CRRR on the letter on there maybe?.
On my cash register receipts (as opposed to the small green receipt) from the post office the CRRR number is on there again; maybe you have those separate somewhere?.. |
Probably a long shot but did you pay by credit card for PO stuff as the numbers are all on the reciepts..
You can download this and it can keep track of all your docs and CRRR stuff.. Http://www.call4tech.com/Kredit_Klean_version1ALL.zip.. |
Jlynn,.
I do have the letters on my computer, but I didn't note the CRRR number on them. I'm going to dig around when I get home tonight and see if I can find the original receipts... |
Yeah, I'm really at a loss right now. Now I have to reevaluate my cases, and see what elements I still have proof of. This isn't cool at all...
I did pay with my card, but alas, I'm not sure where the receipts ended up. I'll have to dig around. Hopefully I'll find it. Thanks for the link...

A bad pun but you will understand thats the danger of the mainframe lose the data, lose it all..
There is a moral to this story and it's really sad that happened to you ( or anyone else ). It's not such a bad idea to replicate copies of everything and keep them at another location ... A fire. flood. child, pet.PO'D spouse can do the same that thief did to mainframe.. If you use PC's copy files onto another pc or burn them onto CDROM and keep in another location.. Or the easiest and free way get a yahoo account and store the data online.. |
Mainframe,.
That is awful news to hear!!! I am sorry that it has happened and hopefully you can recover the items stolen. I would alert the CRA's if It happened to me, just in case someone uses any CC... |
Sorry to hear this MF..
I put all my credit cards on the copier, then flip them and copy again. I've had my wallet stolen once and was at a complete loss as to what was in it. Now I also copy exactly what I carry in my wallet, so I'll be ready if theres a next time... |
You say you closed/changed your checking account? Was your checkbook in your briefcase? Did you make sure any current checks outstanding would be paid? Do you have any auto withdrawals on the account?.
Unless you had actual credit cards in your briefcase, all you really need to do is put a fraud alert on your reports and notify your open cc accounts to require id confirmation for any telephone or internet transactions... |
Yes, the bank closed my checking account. They also made sure that the one outstanding check I had would be paid. I had just switched my direct-debit to another checking account, so no worries on that point. Oh, the checkbook was in the glove compartment, they took it..
I'm going to put the fraud alerts on today, better safe than sorry (or in this case, sorrier)... |
This is true. I'll.
NEVER. Jeopardize my original documents ever again. As most of my correspondence has been done via maxemail, I have electronic copies of the letters. However, the CRRR stuff is toast.. I think it would be a good idea to invest in a scanner and store all that stuff on the CD somewhere, just in case... |
Very sorry to read your bad news..
