My 1st question is: Can I get a Lending Tree mortgage for a condo or house with less than perfect credit? Thanks in advance for any response. Another question... I have a second Lending Tree mortgage that I think is about to report 30 days late (it's a small loan). How did it happen? partly my fault. I didn't see the bill, was very busy last month, and couldn't find their number when I realized my deadline was approaching..

I was finally able to locate their number last week and I called them immediately to set something up so I could pay by western union. Left several messages (they never pick up the darn phone!), and never got a call back (holiday weekend came around too). Today someone finally called back today, and I got the western union info, and sent the payments for last month and this month..

Anyway, after talking with them and pleading not to report me late being that I was trying to get a hold of them and they didnt call me back, they said no..it's an automatic process done via computer..

This particular Lending Tree loan only reports on experian, and hasn't updated yet. I was thinking of disputing the account as never late... even though it's not showing as being late yet, or "not mine"..

The thing about this is that, this account has been bought and sold 4 times in the past year (so I have 4 entries on my report for this same loan.. 3 showing "transfered/never late"). I was thinking if this "one" got deleted, it probably wouldn't hurt much. I know experian never minds deleting good accounts when disputed. I feel bad for even thinking this, but I'm desperate. This should never have happened!.

Anyone thinking there's anything I could do?..

Yup, however you might want to make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm my answer as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you email the Lending Tree guys because they can answer you better...

I think you should dispute it right now!! While it's reporting as a positive - they will do their spiteful deleting, and you will have beat them at their own game, hehe...

I argued with the rep, and she was telling me that "well, the payment is due when the payment is due". Now that I think of it, I probably could have told her that, sure the payment's due on the 1st, and I was late. That is why they're charging me the late fee that I just paid..

30 days late on on my report on the other hand,is a whole different story. I left 3 messages on their voicemail for them to call me back last week...I even left my cell phone number so there was no way to miss me... all before their office was scheduled to close, but no one got back to me. If they called me back like they were supposed to, I would not have that 30 days late on my report, and would've only had to pay the late fee (which I have)..

So should I fight it with them directly? or dispute it? Any thoughts? Thanks...

I would also dispute your CR if it DOES appear as NEVER LATE.. while all this is going on...

Rack3d,.

How many days past the payment due date did you pay the loan? If you payed it BEFORE the SECOND payment due date, they cant report you as 30 days past due on your reports - all they should do is charge you a late fee..
